When I turn the PS3 back off, moments later the controller again starts blinking. As soon as I disconnect it from the charging cable, the four red lights on front of it immediately start blinking and it then turns on the PS3 automatically, without me pressing any buttons on the controller. I know the controller does actually have analog triggers because they work in the PS3(as an analog input) ex. One of my PS3 controllers appears to be malfunctioning. The generic driver that windows forcefully installs Doesn't see the triggers as analog inputs and i cannot find a compatible driver that does. I wanted to see if anything happend, plugged it to PC and it start working Maybe glowing Afterglow means 'problem. Select the logical controller (PLAYSTATION(R)3 Controller) and then click on Properties. Next open your control panel click on Printers and Other Hardware and then click on Game Controllers. Next run the program you downloaded ONCE. While packing motherboard into xbox case, I thorn off the RB-sibe vibration motor by accident. Plug in your USB cable to your computer then plug it into the PS3.
And yes i have already tried installing the DS3 motionjoy drivers but it came up with an incompatable driver message. this controller was given to me as a gift. Problem solved I opened the Afterglow, clean it up from dust and plugged, again just glowing. Usually, when I turn on the PC the first red light comes on and stays on, indicating the controller is available to use. My problem is that DS3 tools wont see the controller and xpadder doesnt see the analog triggers. And type driverquery and the controllers inner circuitry and windows 8.

Worked for PS3 games but would stop working if a PS2 game was inserted into the PS3.
